The Double Slide Vertical Injection Moulding Machine is designed with one upper mold and two lower molds. When one lower mold slides out of the clamping area, the operator can remove the molded parts and place the inserts while the other lower mold is being clamped and injected. This allows the two molds to work alternately and helps reduce non-molding time.
Advantages
Compared with a conventional vertical injection molding machine, the dual-slide design allows molding and insert preparation to be carried out alternately on the two lower molds.
While one mold is inside the clamping area for injection molding, the other mold is outside for product removal and insert placement. This reduces the waiting time between molding cycles and makes better use of the operator's working time.
The two-station design can also reduce the need for separate equipment or additional operators in some production applications, depending on the product and production process.
As with other vertical injection molding machines, the compact machine structure requires relatively little floor space. More machines can therefore be installed within the same production area, which can be useful when factory space is limited.
